While on vacation, my property became inundated with water from a ruptured pipe. My Farmers insurance agent recommended I contact Universal General Contractors, Inc. (UGCI), located at 24681 Northwestern Hwy., Southfield, Michigan 48075. After highly rating the company and its president, I elected to hire them to restore my property to its original condition. I later learned, the highly rated president of the company lists herself as the company's president, director, secretary and treasurer. This rouge company took thousands of dollars, used sub-contractors who performed sub-standard work. Their greed left my property in a mess. After leaving the scene of the crime, they discontinued answering their phones. I have written a 15 page report on this company that I will send to every state agency that deals with rouge companies. As a footnote, the Better Business Bureau has rated this company with an A. My warning to the public is, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will empty your pockets and fill your hearts full of misery.
