I received a phone call from one Brian Williams, who said he was with the U.S. Treasury and had a phone number (202) 470-1238. He told me that I was selected for a federal grant in the amount of $7,700.00. Before the money could be released, I was to wire $210.00 by Western Union to Pra Kash in Delhi, India, supposedly for a charity. Then I would be called within hours to pick up the money at a nearby Western Union office.instead, the next day, I received a call from David Jones, who said he was with the Federal Reserve Bank and had a phone number (202) 621-0089. He said that $350.00 more was needed, to be wired to Pra Kash. Then I could pick up the money. I scraped together and wired $350.00. However, the grant money did not come. I received a call from one named Robert, who said he was with the Internal Revenue Service and had a phone number (646) 736-7991. He asked for more money, first $350.00 and then $150.00, and he became rude when I told him that I was suspicious of the whole thing. When I called Brian Williams and David Jones, they also became rude and later would not answer.
