I was contacted by email after I was located on match.com. We started up a relationship. Then a series of mishaps occurred while she said she was in Cambodia. I sent monies for support of problems described and asked for proof of identity. I received personal family pictures along with a copy of her passport. The name is Tamara Smith (passport # (Personal Info Removed) from Iowa and email [email protected]) and it looked legimate on the surface but different problems kept occuring which prevented her leaving the country. Each i solved one another one popped up. I am a retired programmer so I checked the source of emails received and they came from Washington DC and one picture from Lagos, Nigeria. Alarms went off and I then wrote this complaint.incidents spanned from 10/18 through 11/4. I wiped out my checking account and that is when communication ended. I was vunerable because my wife had passed away in July and I felt good being a, what I thought, a good samaratin. Unfortunately they drained my life savings except for retirement funds that I would not touch. If this is not a scam I apoligize in advance.
