We have been trying to get JWH to repair our leaking tub/shower, buckling floors, and come and re jack our home up to level it up again. We have been told that it is our problem and not JWH.
We have been having problems with the doors not fixing and will not shut and lock both exterior and interior doors. Our home has completely shifted to one side, and we was told it would not shift our house even when the ground is settling. We have been paying for insurance and they have repeated refused to fix our problems. The floors and walls have separated and there is so much mold and mildew in the house and our son has asthma.
We are trying to find out our legal right to this problem. We are paying for a house that is not worth it. We still owe 51,200 dollars on this house and there is so much wrong with this house. How can they file bankruptcy and close down and we still have to pay full mortgage to Walter Mortgage. Walter Mortgage and Jim Walter is the same people just a different name. This is too much money to continue to pay out and we can not get them to repair their work even with insurance.
Every JWH home owner have the same exact complaints, and it is not fair to us as homeowners. JWH closed in Jan and we just got our home built in 2003 so we were still in our time frame for our warranty and they refused to come out and fix our house. What do we do from here. If they are in bankruptcy do we still pay full mortgage?
