Received a letter from David Shawn on October 7 notifying me that I had won $250,000. I called 011-44-772-236-3617. On October 12, I received a check for $4,997. The check was made out from CitiBank, Nevada. Went to bank to deposit. Check cleared on October 14. Was instructed by David Shawn to send a Western Union check in the amount of $1,197. To Mary Smart at #4 Wilson Rd. London, England. On October 15 was instructed by David Shawn to send a Western Union check in the amount of $1,330. To Helen Hayes, same address. Was assured that my check for $245,011. Would arrive on Monday October 17. I was to have a $10 cashier's check for Fed Ex who was to deliver my package. Called David Shawn on October 18, to notify him that Fed Ex did not arrive. He was to investigate as to why not.
I called him again on the 18th after I got off work. He told me I still needed to pay $550. More directly to him and then my package would me released. I was trying to figure out how to do this, and decided to check them out on the internet. Was absolutely shocked to see the scam. Mr. Shawn's conversations with me were so very convincing and I guess I wanted to believe the possibility that I was chosen. Now today, October 20th my real check for working is not even available to me. I am so overdrawn I will never recover if something is not done to stop people like this. I am an emotional wreck!
