Met this man on Plenty of Fish - he claims to be an American working in Nigeria on contract temporarily. Says he was born in Spain and grew up in New Hampshire and now lives in Edmond, OK. He claims to have had a wife who died in childbirth and now is looking for his soul mate. After talking with him for hours and weeks by e-mail he says he is coming home and his contract is over. Then you get an e-mail that the person he was contracted to put his final check into his American bank acct. And he cannot access it from Nigeria - Nigeria doesn't have credit cards - yadayada and asks for $2200 to fly back so he can be with you. If you refuse he will keep dropping the amount until amazingly he is able to sell his watch and laptop and now only needs $400 BTA fees which stands for Basic Travelers Allowance... THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BTA and is not needed to fly out of Nigeria or anywhere else!
