I rented an apartment through an ad on craigslist. I contacte craigslist twice and have received no response. I have attached copy of my complaint below.
This is my second complaint about fraud, and I have received no response. There has apparently been a lot of fraud on craigslist, because when I called the FBI, the agent immediately asked if I found the ad on craigslist. I had agreed to rent an apartment, which was supposed to begin on September 19 and last two weeks. The day I arrived in New York, the owner told me she was leaving town and locking up the apartment. Despite numerous communications, she never returned my $560 deposit. Her ad was now conveniently expired. The information I already provided includes:
