Timeshare/Private Residence presentations in Puerto Vallarta are 100% fraud. We did the Majestic/Grand Venetian and were promised some amazing programs.
1. Five year guaranteed rental income of $1500 for each of our 4 weeks
2. They would purchase our two timeshare properties for an inflated price
(more that we paid). As you can read in other complaints this never works.
3. Platinum Access Program for discounts on airfare, VIP hotel booking service
and more. We called their phone number and the one person they have working
barely understands English even though they are based in Philadelphia. You
get better service talking to a dial tone
4. Lloydshare Annuity Program. Your purchase price is refunded in 25 years based
on an annuity they would purchase for us. Lloydshare is not affiliated with
Lloyd's of London and is actually based in Panama. This is their best scam
as you won't even know until 25 years down the road that you've been
scammed.
5. After 1 year, if you are not satisfied, they'll buy back the property at your
purchase price. All I've read from other purchasers is this is also a scam.
6. World Vacation Services. I was able to talk to Patrick and he stated that
our $1500 voucher (VACCERT #WVS00513) would be available in 10-15 days.
Today, Sept 19 and their phones are always busy. We'll see if they
respond to my emails.
We've talked to others who have done these presentations. They are all the same
sad story.
Bottom Line: If you like high pressure, guilt inducing, sometimes nasty sales
pitches go and enjoy the breakfast and take their offered money. But whatever you do - do not buy. If you want a timeshare, buy wholesale off the internet at. 10 cents on the dollar. Just don't use World Vacation Services or Executive Destination International.
