I saw yorkie. Pupsbasket.net on a site, on the internet... Claimed to be a family owned business... Had pictures of a man and 2 young adults holding a puppy. The site had many pictures of Yorkies and how they hand raise them. I contacted him, told him I was interested in a small female because my Yorkie had just died after 14 years of having him... Loved the dog and breed so much that we wanted another one... in a nutshell, I picked out a puppy and wired him money though Western Union for the puppy. After that I got an e-mail from Air Animal Transport stating I needed to send $450.00 more for Insurance for the puppy because it was going to be transported by air and needed insurance just in case something happen... Was told it was refundable after receiving the puppy. Was told that 50.00 was non-refundable because it was a fee. This is when we started realizing this was a scam. My husband then contacted the person by e-mail and told him we felt they were scamming us... The breeder gave a phone number but of course no answer only a recording from a woman's voice stating they were not available (woman's voice sounded like she was from the UK). It is sad that their are people like this out there... I hope somehow you will be able to let other people know about this scam.
