I was sent an email and offered a position as a mystery shopper with this company. I was eventually sent a cashiers check for $2400.12 along with a letter that stated for me to take to my bank to cash immediately as cashier's checks are not for deposit but to be cashed immediately. The letter stated that any attempt to cash the check elsewhere makes it void.
I made the mistake of depositing the check in my account and now I fear that my account will be overdrawn. I wish I had come to this site before I deposited the check but luckily I did not withdraw anything from off of it. I will post later to let you know the outcome.
