On Wednesday, 7 Sep 11; my family and I went to Boston Market on Lee Jackson Hwy to pick-up a family dinner meal. While being served I noticed the person handling our food did not have on gloves; so I asked why she was not wearing gloves when serving and handling food other people were going to be eating. She said they don't wear gloves. I also observed her getting food on her hands and when she realized I was watching her she wiped the food on her clothes (note: this happened on more than one occasion while she was putting our food in the containers). While being rung up by the cashier (who appeared to be the manager); he stated they are not required to wear gloves when serving people. He went on to say, as long as they wash their hands it's okay. I asked him why would they be any different from other restaurants and he said they are under another code (but never recited the code). I was not the only patron with a health concern; there were others who expressed concerns after my initial conversation with the server/cashier.
