They advertise on craigslist. When you get there, the tiny room has no computers, just two women behind a desk taking hundreds of calls. Most of the people coming in are unskilled workers. I have a rather high-end resume, having formerly earned 6 figures.
(So I should have smelled a scam. Yes?)
They charge $35 registration fee. I was taken into a back room decorated in cheesy leather furniture. The girl, Kelly told me that they have clients that they don't advertise and she has two that would definitely be interested in my resume. I agreed because she said she was very impressed with my skills and she repeated about her business clients that are always seeking people like me.
She took my money and promised to call me the next day. I have never received a call from anyone at Action. I called 3x, speaking to Kelly each time. She said she could not reach her clients and that she would get back to me. I have not heard anything. I dont really care about the $35, but they are taking money that many cannot afford. I'll keep posting until they call me back and provide a real reasonable explanation. I'm really teed off.
