I responded to an advertisement for a sample of Pure Collagen that cost $2.97. I provided my debit card to buy the sample - that was on 07/12. On 08/10 PureCollagenx.com took $99.95 from my checking account using the debit card info that I provided when I bought the sample. I called for an explanation & was told that I "failed to read the terms & conditions" There were none to read. The rep then said she'd credit $50.00 back to my account but the remaining $49.95 would only be refunded once the shipment that was on it's way was returned to them. She then gave me a Return Merchandise Authorization number & a cancellation code (which I still have). Almost 2 weeks went by so I called to find out where this shipment was & was told by someone going by the name of "Ashley" that I must have been "confused". She said I was supposed to have sent the SAMPLE back to them (the one that cost $2.97!) & it was too late now because I was supposed to have done it within 7 days of the day I called for the refund. Talk about screwing with your mind. It's pitiful that this is what some people do with their lives. I don't know - maybe she deserves this kind of low-life existence. I filed a complaint with the BBB of Denver/Boulder as well as with the Colorado Attorney General's Office. I advise anyone who has had this experience with these rip off artists to do the same. My case is now in mediation with the BBB of Denver/Boulder.
