On July 15 IQT Solutions shut down its operations in Canada: three call centers, one in Ontario, and two in Quebec. About 1200 people were suddenly unemployed without their final paycheque, vacation pay, severance pay, or notice of termination.
I arrived at my place of employment as usual, expecting that my paycheque would be there as it was payday. I attended our standard 9:30 AM call for various departments where our executive team would review with management any payroll concerns. It quickly became apparent that something was wrong. Not an executive was to be found. The only people on the call were middle management and folks like myself who help with running the departments.
One of the site directors advised that the management team should discuss this "offline" and the call was terminated. 30 minutes later all employees were called outside to the parking lot and told that the company has claimed bankruptcy, has no money and that not only were we not getting paid, they did not have any paper work in order for EI.
As of 08/11 IQT has not filed for bankruptcy.
I would like my 24,000 dollars that is owed to me, and I would like to see my 1200 ex co workers get the money they WORKED for. I would also like people to know what kind of business men these people are. Below are some links for this father and son team. You can also search the internet using IQT to validate what I have wrote.
