"Rare" Movie Seller Chrages 500% Markup!

"rare_cinema", a "rare" movie seller on Amazon.com is offering the "rare" film, Bloodsuckers (1997), on DVD, for approximately $60, ($57.99), plus shipping.

This is a region 2 DVD, only, it only originates in and is produced in Europe. On Amazon.co.uk one can find this film as plentifully as bubblegum and at least as cheap!

Even taking into consideration the superior value of the British Pound over the US Dollar, currency conversion fees, and the price for international shipping, the grand total for a brand new copy from multiple sellers on this site is less than $10!

Price of the DVD - 0.82 GBP = 1.33991 USD - ($1.34)
Price of intenational shipping (from the UK to the US) - 3.08 GBP = 5.03364 USD - ($5.04)

Subtotal = ($6.38)

Currency Conversion Fee - 1-3 Percent of the total. - (0.0637355 USD - 0.1912065) - ($0.07 - $0.20) - ($0.20)

Grand Total = ($6.58) And that total is at most, and rounded up!

Now while one might resonably expect to pay a certain "convience" fee for avoiding all the hassel of foreign transactons and the delays of international shipping, such conveinece is hardly worth a 500% markup!

The worst of it, though, is that this site isn't claiming the outrageous prices based upon its offerings of "services", but is instead banking upon the ignorance of it's customers! For outside of UK sites it would seem that this film doesn't exist or cannot be found! Just try to search for it, they are the only US or American seller I have ever seen listed and certainly the only one on the USA Amazon.com site.

I don't know who owns or runs the "Rare_Cinema" storefront, or how many other "rarities" they have swindeled people with but they've certainly got a nice gig going for themselves, buy a movie for less than $10, sell it to a sucker for about $60, pocket a nice 500% profit in the form a new picture of Grant in your pocket! And all that for simply clikcing a few buttons, getting something out of the mailbox, opening it, relabeling it, and then putting it back into said mailbox!

Somone please call this guy out on Amazon.com! I wasn't allowed to write a review or give feedbak as I am not currently an Amazon.com customer!
