Crooks, thieves and liars!!!
I must say that my first experience with this company, Charlton Hall Auctions, has been a nightmare! Over a month ago, I won what was stated in the description on line, a 14k gold cane handle. I had to send Charlton Hall a check because they are too greedy to pay the fees associated with accepting credit cards while steering clear of Paypal because the buyer has recourse in any instance of fraud such as this. Once Charlton Hall recieved my check, I had to wait another 10 days for it to clear (I guess we are living in the dark ages) in which I had to phone them to find out that it had indeed cleared.
Finaly after more than a month later, I recieved my package only to find out that it is not 14k gold but merely gold filled which was blatantly obvious due to 35% of the gold having rubbed off. I have since sent it back to Charlton Hall along with several emails and phone messages and have yet to get a response. It has been almost 6 weeks now since I paid for this item and I have yet to recieve a response. Now I am out $400 and it seems they are keeping the fake gold cane handle.
