David L. Ross Construction
Violates Tennessee Consumer Protection Act

David L. Ross Construction, signed a contract for the turnkey construction of a residence in violation of the TCPA. DLRC signed the contract as a General Contractor for the construction of a residence in Tennessee. State statute requires that GCs signing construction contracts for a residence be a Licensed Construction Contractor in the State of TN.

DLRC represented that he was a licensed construction contractor with applicable Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance when he signed the contract. After performing shoddy work that did not meet code, or comply with the drawings he was asked for his license. When requested to present his license, workers compensation and liability insurance he declined and "quit" the job at about 1/3 completion.

Subsequent contact with the TN Dept of Commerce and Insurance and the Dept of Labor provided evidence that DLRC was not Licensed and did not carry worker's compensation insurance.
