My husband and I have mortgage with Bank of America. Got a letter a few days ago from "New York Mellon Bank, NA" who claimed Bank of America sold out our loan to them, and that they are our new "creditor's". I called Bank of America and they said no they did not sell our loan. We both think the next step these fraudsters would pull would be telling us to send our mortgage to them, but instead I reported them to: The FDIC, New York State Banking, The Federal Reserve, my congressman, my senator, and the OCC. I think instead of my mortgage payment, they hopefully will get a GO TO JAIL FREE CARD! Watch out for these guys!
