I answered an add in the clasified section of a Madison Wi. Newspaper in April re: a new vending machine for Pringles Potato Chips. I was sent information overnite about the program. I was told that each machine would cost $1,445.00 and if I ordered 10 I would get one free. I sent a deposit of $1,000 on May 16th and a second confirming check $1,000 on May 17th for a downpayment of$2,000. On May 24th the final amount was wired to a bank in Manhattan. I was called to confirm receipt on May 27th and that the machines were ordered and a two week delivery was expected. Once two weeks passed I called back and was told of the high demand. That was the last time I spoke to anyone. I have since learned that a major scam was uncovered August 19th and many companies to include Manhattan Vending were charged.
