Game Copy Wizard.com AND unlockwiigames.com
Consumer Report

I have an extensive collection of Wii games and searched for an application that would allow me to make an archive copy of the DVDs.By doing this, I would use the archive copy and if anything happened to the DVD (i.E., scratch, damage, etc), I still had the original to make another copy. I purchased Game Copy Wizard (www.gamecopywizard.com) for $39.95. The site stated that the software was compatible with Windows 98, XP, and VISTA. All of my computers have been upgraded to Windows 7 which runs all of VISTA applications.
My first "red light" was that, after purchasing and downloading the software, I was then redirected to another site which required me to purchase "unlock wii games" for an additional $37.94. The downloaded files were to be placed on the Wii memory card which I assume altered the Wii OS to read the copied games.
When I attempted to format the Wii memory card, I discovered that Windows 7 does not support FAT16 (an archaic formatting scheme for disks). I went to the website of both companies and requested a refund explaining the problem.
After not receiving ANY response for over 2 business days, I immediately contacted PayPal and Citibank to open disputes for the two charges.
I performed a reverse IP lookup for the company (68.178.254.15) and the hosting service is Godaddy.com. I have alerted them to the scam.
The second company involved is unlockwiigames.com. I was sent a confirmation receipt with a note that I would receive the serial number to activate the software which I never received.
Neither company has a physical address listed nor a telephone number to speak with a live person.
I am very embarrassed that i was "taken", but I am contacting you so that I hopefully will receive a refund from both companies and you can shut them down to prevent more consumers from being scammed. I should have also known that Sony would have shut them down long ago if their software was legitimate because of people who would illegally copy games.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.
