I went to this business to request an iron vanity pedestal to be created and installed. I was very specific in my concept and very specific on the time frame I had. The owner assured me that a piece could be created to fit my decor and concept within the time frame I had. I naively wrote him a personal check for deposit of $2,118.50, which in his contract says it was refundable.
No satisfactory design was submitted during my time frame. No piece was ever created. Despite extensive assurances by the owner that he will honor his own contract and return my deposit, He pocketed the money. He claimed he was having economic hardship. (And that gave him a right to pocket my money???) It has been a year and a half and He has not return my money, nor my Lawyer's letters.in his last email to me today He now claims He does not remember the exact amount! Can you believe this?
I am now in the process of filing Civil Suit to recover the funds.
I just hope this helps people Know Who they are dealing with so nobody else gets SCAMMED by this contractor.
