I created an account with QuiBids, entering my debit card information, because QuiBids offered free bids as a promotion to new customers. I then bid on a $10.00 gas card, which I won for $2.50.
When I checked my bank account the following day, QuiBids not only charged me the winning price of the gas card ($2.50) but an additional $60.00. When I contacted their customer service rep, I was told that the $60.00 fee was for bids I did NOT purchase but they automatically added to my account and charged me for.
Therefore, according to QuiBids, I purchased a $10.00 gas card for $62.50. The QuiBids customer service rep refused to refund the $60.00, stating that it was impossible to do so since I had already used the bids.
As I had no knowledge or intention of buying any bids for $60.00 nor would I ever make the ridiculous purchase of a $10.00 gas card for $62.50, QuiBids should refund my $60.00, delete my debit card information out of their system so that they cannot steal from me again, and close my account.
