I booked Adam Garland to video my daughters Bat Mitzvah. A once in a life time event. I spent a year planning, 200 guests and spent huge amounts of $ time and effort to make this special day a memorable one. I hired Garland Productions (Adam) to video my event. I paid $300 deposit (which was cashed right away) and signed the contract. May 28th came, but Adam never did show up. He was supposed to have two videographers there to film the entire event. Now, it is over, I have absolutely NO footage and nothing to show for it!
I had to call them and ask where the heck were they? I got a call back from Adams wife who sounded drowsy, like she just woke up. When I asked her why they did not show up her first reaction was to try and put it off on me saying I never sent in my second payment. I told her many venders I had hired just collected their second payment when they showed up OR they called to let me know to send it in (there are many people hired during this time. I have never had one just not show up because I didn't contact them after a signed contract with a deposit was already in place. Then she simply replied. "oh well, just dropped the ball. Sorry".. SORRY? She didn't sound "sorry" what did she care? At best she said she could return my deposit. This is NOT a reputable or professional run business, I would NEVER recommend anyone hire these two who claim to run a "professional" business. It is a husband/wife team who don't seem to care about ruining a once in a life time event.
Now I will see if they even bother to send back my deposit.
