Tax Defense was hired to help me account for my losses on my 2010 tax return, they filed without my losses and refused to fix the return

I hired Tax Defense Report to account for a loss on a bad debt on my 2010 tax return. They filed a return, over my protest, without the bad debt accounted for. They said they had to file the report before they could talk with the IRS about my loss. They charged me $1950 up front. They indicated thay had filed an extension; they didn't. The Irs sent me a demand for the large taxes shown because the loss was not shown on a schedule D. They did me no good and left me in trouble with the IRS, who billed me for an extra penality of $90 and interest of ~$43. When challenged they tried to put their negligence back on me. As neas as I can tell, they never made a reasonable attempt to cover my losses.

I fired them and was offered $500 of the $1950 back if I signed a bribe sheet to not report what they had done. They brag of an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. I reported the ripoff to the Better Business Bureau.

My advice to anyone considering Tax Defense Network: Don't!!
