I hired Mr. John Edward Andrews Jr. Of the Chesapeake Bay Rebuilders on April 28 to install fence in my residential home. A contract was signed by Mr. Andrews and myself stating that the installaton will commence on May 18 and be completed on May 22. I gave Mr. Andrews a check in the amount of $850.00 on April 28, he said he needs to buy materials and will deliver them in my house the following week. He cashed the check i gave him immediately on that same day.
Two weeks gone by and no materials had been delivered to my home. I keep calling Mr. Andrews everyday to ask what happen to the materials and he keeps on telling me that he is busy finishing up another job outside Orlando and he is taking care of the materials so not to worry. May 18th came along and Mr. Andrews failed to start the installation. He had given me numerous excuses that day... From his son getting busted for DUI, finding a lawyer for his son, his truck was in an accident etc. He said that he will start the installation later that day after he takes care of the above problems. I told Mr. Andrews that his personal problems is not my concern and if he is not able to do the job, i will cancel. The next day he still can't start the job, he gave me more personal excuses and more lies that i can handle in one day. I told him the job is cancelled because he is very unprofessional, unreliable and a constant liar.
I told him i want my $850.00 back and he told me he will give it to me but so far he had given me the run around every single day. He has not taken any action to return my money. He has not called me back lately, i left numerous messages in his voicemail but had gotten no reply. He even threatened me that if i bring in a 3rd party to intervene, he will do drastic measures to me and my family, that he will never give me the money. He is very rude and disrespectful on the phone. I want my $850.00 back. Mr. Andrews and his so called business needs to be exposed to the public so nobody else goes through what i am going through right now.
