My aunt had died in pittsfield, mass. Leaving a trust fund. My sister, my mother (who is in her 80's and on a small pension) and I along with other relatives from pittsfield (Pittsfield relatives very predatory and money hungry) as well as my cousin Harry and his wife Sherry were named as heirs. My cousin Harry and his loud mouthed wife sherry decide to challenge the trust. They talked us into going along" with them on the lawsuit.
They hired a lawyer named Michael D Hashim from Pittsfield Mass. To represent them. Michael sent me a letter to sign saying that I agreed to his fee of 75.00 per hour. I though that was quite high so I never signed the paper nor sent it in.
Now his office is sending me bills of 2000.00 and on top of that charging me a finance charge for being late. The finance charge for being late is 21.02 per month! How can a lawyer charge a finance charge? And then he named me plaintiff in the suit saying that the more names on the suit, the better the case would be.
Mr. Hashim never contaced us only periodically to send us bills that seemd to change quite frequently. Most of the bills were for phone conversations to my cousin of which we were not privvy to. He is a bad lawyer. Do not use the firm of Hashim & Spinola. They are rip off artists!
