First off let me start by saying it is the only supermarket in town. Second, let me tell you it is worth traveling to the next town to shop. This A&P is not only dirty and un-organized but the prices are beyond awful. The seafood department reeks of fish (not in the good way) and the packaged meats are browning in the packages, not to mention its almost always on the verge of expiration. Oh and did i mention leaky? The produce gets to me the most. At $2.29lb i bought apples, each one a soggy brown in the middle. At $2.99lb i had my pick of green peppers each one covered by an old looking wrinkly soft skin. The strawberries have mold, my finger goes through the cucumbers, the onions are soft. I am not griping, I am totally the type of person willing to spend the money on fresh produce, but at these prices? I expect fresh produce. I think that if it is going to be one of the only A&Ps to represent the area then it should be in much better condition than it is now. Plus i wouldn't mind a decent place to shop. The store needs help.
