I've been employed at Bow Wows Pet Boutique for 16 years as a master pet groomer. I recently had an accident with a customers dog. It acurd on 1/3/04, I was grooming a very old and hard to handle Maltese, When I was pulling out the ear hair on the dog I some how pulled the hair just below the the ear as well which resulted in the dogs hair on the outside to rip the skin about the size of a dime, nothing like this has ever happend to me in 16 years of grooming.
I notified the owner Terry Pauling as soon as I found out, and aslo notifided the customer that the dog needed to see a vet asap. The owner of the shop has (so she says) insurance for this but she does'nt want to have to pay her deductible of $500.00 for the year, the vet bill is $381.00, thats almost a full weeks pay for me. I know that I injurded the dog there's no question about that but thats why I work in a grooming shop other wise I'd be working at home.
Thank You for your time
