I had called the Humane Society in Auburn looking for a black female Shihtzu and was given this gal's number. There might be some association going on there as it appears that she does not have pure bread Shihtzus but is selling what she has as the real deal.
She asked for $600.00 but agreed to $350.00 when I said that I did not want to breed her. I sent the first installment by mail to her po box, as she requested of $175.00 and the first week in April met "her husband" in Norridgewalk to pick up the puppy and pay the final $175.00.
I did think that it was strange that she did not want us to go to her house. She has sent two pictures via emal of what looked like a black Shihtzu during the first eight weeks.
Later the vet that I use told me that Shihtzus are not usually one solid color, and he thought that was strange. As she got a little older, she started developing the tall, white guard hair of a terrier. Her tail does not turn over at her back like a Shihtzu, and her eyes and face are not the same. I have two other Shihtzus and know what I am looking for.
When I contacted Donna, she said that she didn't know what happened. Her husband must have picked up the wrong puppy. She said that she would get the $300.00 back to me as she was selling the terrier mix pups for $50.00.
I have not seen the money, and I get a different story as to why from her every time I contact her.
I have seen other reports regarding her and feel that she is a fraud. Now, how do I get my money back?
