I bought an Amilo Fujitsu Siemens Pi 2540 laptop from Bahrain on September. For an year it worked without any problems. Then all kinds of problems started. First the down arrow in the keyboard stopped working. It wouldnt work at all or the key would be acting like it is pressed down always. If i open a document then it would scroll down to the bottom and when i hit the down button the scrolling would stop. Second problem is with the dc jack on the motherboard. The soldering on the motherboard came off and the laptop was not charging. I showed to the technicians they said nothing can be done. I am ireland now and showed it to one of my friend who said he can solder it back after ordering a new DC jack. Another problem with this was my laptop model was available only in the gulf and so i had to wait for about a month for the DC jack to arrive from bahrain. After soldering this worked for one month and again the soldering came off. Plus if I close the laptop lid while it is still switched on and then open it again, the lcd screen just is blank and it wouldnt display anything. I have to restart the laptop for the display to come back. All in all, i am very unsatisfied with this product and i am definitely not going to recommend this to anyone. I am also going to go to all review sites and post this review there so that nobody else gets cheated with a substandard product. It is heart breaking for me to see that my hard earned money is wasted like this, where as my friends who have invested in dell or sony or acer are happy with their laptops and still using it happily. Mine is on the way to graveyard.
