My father purchased a Walmart Visa Debit card for my son as a gift. He lives in Texas and we live in California. Upon receipt I tried to call the number to activate the card. This particular card needed the activation number on the receipt. My father no longer had the receipt because NO ONE TOLD HIM IT WAS NECESSARY FOR ACTIVATION AS THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO! I called the 2 different numbers on the card, and of course, there is NO option to speak to a live person for assistance. The associates at the store had no solution either except to call the number on the card. So basically, my son got robbed by Wal-Mart! This problem with NO SOLUTION really needs to be addressed. Basically WalMart got free money!!! Theifs!
