I had picked out a brand new Jeep Liberty with only 50 miles on the odometer. Went back a couple weeks later to purchase same Jeep and they claimed the one I purchased was the same one I picked out. But the odometer read more than 500 miles on it, in only two weeks time. Claimed they had alot of test drives.
When I went to get tags on the Jeep, the license place advised me that the jeep was registered to another woman and gave me her name. I went back and confronted them about the switch and they claimed that was not the same jeep and that it was an old woman who didn't like it and brought it back to trade in.
Upon further checking, I found out the woman was in her late 20's, early 30's and she bought that jeep and had alot of brake problems and almost had an accident, came back with the jeep and they traded in back in and gave her the one I had picked out.
They never solved the brake problems, put it back on the lot and sold it to me claiming it was the one I had picked out earlier, with the problems. I had that jeep in for service on the brake systems and stalling problems more than 3 times and never fixed it.
I put down more than $7000.00 on that jeep and they asked me to make my payments to them and they would send the payments to the bank. Crescent Bank of New Orleans. The bank called me to tell me my payment was 1 month late, the dealership didn't send payment as promised. The bank then came to my house in the middle of the night and repossed the jeep, sold it and is now trying to collect more than $4000.00 for what was still owed from the selling of it.
None of this was fair to me. They saw a sucker and took advantage of me. I was not able to get anyone to help me get my money back or my jeep. I wanted to do a newspaper ad and expose them for their selling me a used lemon that could not be repaired. I'm not giving up on either companies, I will get what is due to me. The both have ruined my credit, now I'm unable to get credit for a new vehicle to drive because of what they did to me.
