I live in Illinois and have delt with American Heartland Insurance. This adjuster used the CCC Valuescope and gave me a check for $350. For total loss on a 1989 crew cab 4 wheel drive, 4 door, with 2 bench seats, all electric windows and a diesel engine. It was in real good shape and condition until it got rear ended by their insured. He rear ended a trailer that was attached to the truck and wrecked my truck also. NADA guide states my trucks value is $3,100. And Blue Book guide states $4,100. To replace my truck it would at least cost me around $5,000. Talking about being railroaded by an insurance company. Needless to say I am going to get a lawyer to fight this rediculous unfair insurance company. They can take that CCC valuescope guide and shove it. That is what they said they used to come up with the amount they would pay for my loss. There should be a law against these types of insurance companies. I reported them to the better business bureau. They have not heard the last from me!
