There was an open house on 20th jan for more than 100 jobs for tellers and other posts, with almost 200 applicants present, they were talking how it looks like a lie, it was a sham

There was an open house for more than 100 jobs for tellers and other posts at 436 slater road, where almost 200 applicants were present, including me. They were talking how it looks like a lie but i was optimistic, i was selected for a second interview, i was told i will be contacted within a week, ten days passed and no one contacted. I sent an email and finally i got a call for interview. When i reached there i had to wait for half an hour, my interviewer was amy, she liked my answers, she even said that webster bank will love you. I was excited because i had the feeling that i am selected for the job and she told me she will contact me within a week, there were 4 openings near my area but i told her any area is fine with me. Two weeks passed and no reply, i had to send another email and i got a phone call 8.00 o'clock in the morning that we encourage you to apply again in future. I tried calling them back to find out what went wrong, and there was answering machine, i tried several times, i think they are avoiding me. Now, i can take this as a no and keep quiet but i think, no i am sure it happened with more applicants and i am furious, i wish their business goes down. I think it is going down that is why they came up with this idea, it was a publicity stunt, showing people how strong they are, so they can attract more customers. But if you check, it is more than a month and not a single position for teller is hired, now the question is where did those positions go? It was an insult to all those applicants who are struggling and looking for a job, i hope they will think twice before pulling a stunt like this and show some respect to those who are struggling.
