Fraudulently put a $1,300 negative mark on my credit report considering I have never even heard of this company let alone done buisness with them

In February this law office reported that I owe them $1,396.00 with no information on the account. When I try to call the Company it is just a automated machine that gets me nowhere.

I am in the process of trying to clean up my credit but a $1,396 debt is a debt you want to know exactly where it came from and why, which is information that this company cannot provide me with. Considering I have never been in New York and have never heard of this company before, I am confident in saying this is a fraudulent report on my credit report.

I have no problem paying off my debt but I refuse to pay off a bogus debt to a company I have never heard of that cannot give any information on the account they say I owe on.
