The Job Sender
Uses fake recruiter emails to get you to pay for a resume distribution service

The company sends an email like this:
"Hi Jxxxx
Recently I came across your resume for an IT position our company was looking to fill. Your resume appears to be a good match for some of the IT employers who regularly use our recruiting services in Atlanta. If you are still actively looking for a job in your field, click this link. If you are looking for a site specific to Atlanta, try here. Remember that it is important to keep your online resume up to date.
Best of luck,
Deborah Walker
HR Director"
When you click either link, it prompts you to set up an account. When you finish, you realize that you have been setting up an account for a paid resume distribution service, not with a legitimate recruiting company. The email comes from the domain "thejobmailer001.com" which doesn't exist, and the "reply" email is a mishmash of letters and numbers at that domain, but when you reply, you get a bounce back message from careersearchlivenow.com, which also doesn't exist.
It appears the service, which is from beyond.com, is legit, but the means of marketing it in this manner, with hidden websites and interwoven IPs and deceitful emails is not legit at all. When I contacted the service about this, they stated that I must have gotten an email about resume distribution service, and as you can see, the above email makes no mention of that.
