QuorumProductions, Inc., contacted my small start up business and offered to featuremy product in a segment on its show. I was told I had to make up my mindimmediately, because the space had to be filled soon. That's always abad sign, but sometimes when you are trying to make it unfortunately goodcommon sense gets drowned out.
Ithought that base on the law I had three days to cancel. I contacted myinvestor (he also turned out to be a grade a jerk. I'll file my nextreport on him) and he said he thought it would be a good opportunity to getsome publicity for the product. I fell for the pressure sell and signedthe contract, which was on a Friday. I met with the investor and hedecided that based on the charges of 35,000 it wasn't such a good deal afterall and didn't want to precede with the project.
My company could notafford this without the investor so I immediately wrote to the producer thathad contacted me and informed him that I didn't have the funds to proceed, butsince he got the email the next business day (on that Monday) I believed thiswould give him ample time to replace the segment. Well Big Bad Quorum Incdidnt see it that way.
Mycompany is only funded by what I can put into it from my own pocket to keep itgoing, but they have harassed and bulled me to no end and now they arethreatening to sue me. I hope this helps some other small business owner. Stay away form this company. I truly believe this was just a con theentire time and they believe if they keep trying to bully me I will fold andcome up with some money to pay them. Well the can keep trying cause thepockets are turned inside out and the only thing there is lent.
