A friend was shopping in the WalMart in Norman, Oklahoma 2/4/10 and found Coleman fuel for $6.28 a gallon. They decided to wait and buy it in Duncan, to shop locally. When they got to the local WalMart store it was $9.48 a gallon! They are taking advantage of the fact that there has been an ice storm and people have been without electricity for up to 8 days, so far and are in need of a way to use their Coleman lanterns and cookstoves.
They also have moves for $9.99 at the Norman WalMart that were priced at over $13 in Duncan. When the friend asked 'why the difference' the employee said 'oh, it just depends on where you are'. Meaning, if they can gouge you, they will. No wonder they are referred to as the 'Evil Empire' and rightfully so.
