For 6 months I did business with paychex. And for 6 months my company operated in the red because they made a point of overcharging me on every payroll. Their delivery of payroll was random and cost me 2 good employees. One delivery of payroll ended up in the hands of who the hell knows and was lost for good.
On more than once, I was on the receiving end of wage and hour complaints made by employees because paychex NEVER had payroll arrive on time and more than once I had to drive 2 hours to pickup payroll myself because they didn't even send it out.
Naturally I terminated the business relationship for the gross incompetence of paychex and the legal liability paychex created and got a paid-in-full receipt for my final bill from paychex.
Flash forward a year, they are refusing to send out W-2's for my employees — DESPITE the IRS mandating that they cannot withhold W-2's for ANY reason.
When I call paychex, I only speak to operators or machine menus. No matter how much I try, there is never a supervisor, manager, administrator, or senior rep to talk to.
I've since filed a wage and hour complaint against paychex.
