I bought a pair of Levi 501's this morning for 87 euros at the Levi flagship store in Barcelona. The shop manager cheerily told me that the product would not last (compared with the same product in the past). I left the shop but returned after taking a few steps feeling foolish at having bought a product that the shop manager freely admitted was sub-standard. The manager appeared to find it amusing that the product wouldn't last ("no dura nada"), and even funnier that a refund was out of the question. I have been a Levis consumer for 36 years. This is the first time that a shop manager has made me feel stupid for buying Levis.
