Don't do business with Manhattan Mortgage. This company and it's employees is a total scam. I was in the process of buying a home, went through this company for the loan only to not get the loan or the house. Manhattan Mortgage and it's employees took monies from me. Pulled my credit report 50 times and still couldn't close the deal. I still don't have a home for me and my family because of them and is out of a lot of money. This is what they do so watch out. They assign you to a loan officer/broker, then that person baits you in by telling you wow everything looks good your credit came back great and your loan is approved... All we have to do now is find a house (if you haven't already done that and get a contract on it).in the mist of you finding a house you know I already have an apraisal he is wonderful, I Have been doing business with him for quite some time now... You know I will get you a good deal on the apraisal and expection... The apraisal has to be done before going to closing... (watch out it's a scam).. Okay he gives you an amount and tell you to meet him/her somewhere so that they can pick up the money... All I was like was okay we getting closer to closing... But really just further away... Now they have all your money and the problem/excuses start... The underwriters didn't sign off on it just, they stop answering my calls I would get put on hold until my phone dies. Now this is the big one the person that was working with you is no longer with the company... People we have to stand up and be heard. Me and my kids had to stay in a shelter, with family and friends because scam artist are out there and nothings being done we have to fight for whats our... We do have rights. Come on don't be the next victim..
