I am writing this report to make everyone aware that George Zouvelos and Spartan Bail Bonds in Brooklyn, NY are corrupt criminals!
Our 20 year old son was arrested last summer on a drug charge. My wife is wheelchair bound and I'm a retired city worker. We did not have the $7500 to bail our son out so we sought the help of Spartan Bail Bonds. At first George Zouvelos, the owner of the company, was friendly and gracious. He really made us feel like we were in good hands.
Once he got our money things changed drastically! He began a campagain of intimidation, terror and violence on my family! I would personally drive m son to check in each week at the same time every week, he passed every urine test week, yet Mr. Zouvelos concocted reasons to arrest my son on four different occasions! Each time he would demand we pay him more money or he'd tell the judge my son tried to flee the state and have him sent back to prison to await his court date.
On three different occassions he demanded money in the amounts of $200, $250 and $225 for "filing fees" and each time we paid he would uncuff my son from the desk chair in his office and send him home with me. One time my son was returned with a black eye, thanks to one of the Zouvelos goons! He told us if we called the cops he would revoke his bail.
On the fourth time he demanded $400. When I told him I had no more money and couldn't pay, he showed me a newspaper clipping detailing his arrest for pistol whipping a person he bailed out, charges of gun possesion and impersonating a police officer.
He told me if we didn't pay the money he would send my son to jail and me or my wheelchair bound wife would be the next person to get pistol whipped.
Google the name George Zouvelos and you can read for yourself the laundr list of violent felony charges that are currentl pending against this man.
I'm so glad my son was aquitted and that I never have to see George Zouvelos again!
