Yes of course more parts are required and more service/labor and more $79.99 labor fees. YES the problem continues to be mechanical. Called on Friday spoke with Pan pertaining to the same chair that has been "repaired" once in May... Pam stated that she placed the entire left & right mechanism on order and I should receive it within 3-4 weeks (and of course it will cost us $79.99 for labor/installation).
This SAME CHAIR that they "supposedly" repaired in May is once again stuck in the UP position. If they REPAIRED it and we paid $79.99 seems to me that we shouldn't be calling for another service on the same chair. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!
This was Lazy-Boy's response when I emailed them for the 50th time:
I understand you are sorry and truly apologize for the problems we've experienced with each piece of our Lazy Boy furniture. Thank you for your sincere concern. HOWEVER, it's NOT sincere.
Two letters to PRES/CEO Mr. Kurt Darrow (both have gone unanswered to date).
Additionally, I was informed by the LAZY BOY 'customer service' web site that my furniture is out of the 1 year warranty and that I would pay $79.99 labor cost. NO KIDDING? I've been paying $79.99 since the 1 year warranty expired.
Maybe if the Americans in the Monroe, MI plant would make QUALITY furniture I wouldn't have to continue to write in my journal... Make service calls... Order parts, etc.
Would not recommend Lazy Boy furniture unless you just want to continue to pay the $79.99 labor/installation fee.
Their warranty is misleading - You might get the parts... But you will continue to pay for the crappy, American made furniture. AND you'll get terrible customer service.
Furniture owned since Jan. 2007 and have had more problems than I could have ever imagined. Pathetic!
