This company intentionally days authorizing your car repair for 48 hours. That means your car will sit at the service station for 48 hours AFTER diagnosis (which usually takes at least 1/2 a day). So if you don't mind waiting 3 days (including repair time) for every covered repair, then this is the warranty for you. Phone authorizations are even delayed and the service rep will tell you they called the repair shop when they did not. They will tell you they faxed an authorization when they did not. They will tell you their adjuster is gone when you ask to speak with him/her.

They like to send an inspector out to inspect the car before authorizing which takes 48 hours.

I paid 1788 for the OEM coverage and have only needed to use it 2 times for minor routine repairs at 2 different repair shops amounting to less than $400 out of their pocket. Both times I have had to wait 2 days for authorization. Both service managers warned me that Royal is the worst.

This is obviously a tactic on Royal's part to get you to pay out of pocket rather than file a claim... No matter how large or small.
