We contracted with Lady L Ranch _On The Road Transport to move our three horses. She required a $1425 deposit which we paid in good faith. Horses were to be picked up on December 4.
When they did not show or call on the 4th I made several attempts to reach them. When I finally did reach Linda she said the truck broke down BUT, it was being fixed and would be leaving in a couple hours. Didn't hear from them the next day so I again attempted to contact them leaving numerous messages. I finally got Linda on the phone and she said the truck was still broken as they got the wrong part.
I told her the movers had taken everything, we needed the horses picked up so we could get to the other house to meet them. She said they were taking a different truck and on the way. Could NOT get a hold of anyone... Left numerous messages. She finally picked up the phone when I said was going to contact local authorities to find out just what kind of a business this was. She just screamed at me and hung up.
We had to travel across country to meet movers and we were not going to make it. She was 6 and 1/2 days late, unreachable, and when we finally had to have a trainer pick up our horses for boarding until we could get a legitimate horse hauler to move them. Additional expense we really could not afford!
We emailed, sent hard copies and left several messages that this had turned into a nightmare and we wanted our deposit back.
We were not able to be there when the moving truck arrived. Had to board three horses for a week and a half, and hire another horse shipper. ALL added expense in addition to the $1425 Linda will no return!
Lady L Ranch - On The Road Transport should NOT be allowed to be in business. We contracted in good faith for a service we did NOT receive and she is $1425 richer for it. This is not right!!!
