My wife and I went to restaurant Bulgaria on Lawrence Ave in Chicago to arrange the conditions and service requirements for our wedding party and for that package the price, of course. The party was on Oct 10
The owners Rumen and Bonnie Nikolov started promising,
everything was very superlative and that was the first warning sign; unfortanatly, I was overwhelmed organizing everything and I did not run a check on them. As later I figured it out that what they did to me is a regular practice for them.
At the time of the wedding party they did not do what they promised; when I would go to the owner and talk to him or her they would say ok and keep doing what they want. It was supposed to be assigned activities and they totally ignored that.
The program failed, the food was cooked previously and warmed at a microwave.By the time it was served it was cold and hard like stone.
The music, the food, and the bill have been totally compromised. They tried to cheat on the bill by inflating both base fare and tip. After I reviewed the check the gratuity has been at almost 30%; considering the poor service they are real modest.
The owner Bonnie made a mistake on the check with 1,000$. The next day, they realized their mistake and charged the credit card without my authorization (signature) for another 1,000$, without calling and saying whatever.
I want to prevent all that from happening to some other fellow. Do not have party at that restaurant and if you go anyway, be careful when you get the check; make sure they are not ripping you off. Just go to Olive Garden, Amici or any normal restaurant where you will receive service, price, and quality superior to those of restaurant Bulgaria
and you will not have to deal with Gypsy tricks and extreme stupidity of simple minded people
P. S they make you feel like you have to thank them for the opportunity to be there when it should be the opposite way.
