Jim Walters Mid State Holmes Best Insurance ripoff Build a house I can't get a Certificate of Occupancy to move into and forecose after I pay a Mortgage for 3 years while I'm paying rent

Sign contract March 1999 for shell.

They complete shell 18 month later and I signed a completion certificate. It was fraudulent because the inspection wasn't even done and the roof permit wasn't pulled and a whole lot of other stuff.

My sub-contractors couldn't pull permits, it was a nightmare.

In the mean time Mid State puts a hand written note in the whole where a door knob should be. The note states that I am three months behind in my Mortgage payments. Why didn't they write me where I was living? Nobody lives in a "Shell" house. Now they are threatening foreclosure on a mortgage I know nothing about and shouldn't be started since the permits haven't even been pulled. They base everything on the fraudulent piece of paper called the completion certificate.

Three years later I still couldn't get a Certificate of Occupancy because of the Jim Walters Builders hadn't finished what they were supposed to do. I finially got the "CO" on June 15th of 2003. I have been paying a mortgage and rent all this time. Also, every time I had to move, (5 times) Mid State pretends not to get the change of address and doesn't send any statements, so finally they send a notice of forcloseur to the last place you lived, or the place before that. All the time the building department is hearing from me everyday at Jim Walters. But they pretent they are not affiliated. The City of Destin building department knows this whole story.

Now, in December of I wrote the Mid State persons and told them to rework my mortgage starting 60 days after I pulled the building permit, because that was the only way I could ever get a "CO" since they screwed up soo bad. I also gave them a change of address to the house they built. I never heard another word from them.

Now, this is where they try to steel your house. I call my bank and ask them to please buy this loan from the crooks. I give the bank the information to call them because at Mid State you get nothing on your mortgage. No balance due, no amorization, literally nothing.

The bank ask for a Pay off. They get a figure from Mid State. They can't close because I don't have a "CO". I still don't have a "CO" because of "Jim Walters Builders". So the bank asks for another pay off figure. I still can't get a "CO" because of Jim Walters Builders. I call "Best" insurance and ask for an increase. They say fine. The bank ask for a "pay off". They get a figure. I still can't get a "CO" because of the builders. We're wainting for a copy of a survey. We get the survey. I get a "CO". The bank ask for a "pay off". They get one. They get everything ready to close. They find my mortgage foreclosure. They say the pay off is incorrect because now I have to pay all these legal fees and what not. The bank asked for a pay off. They get a figure. They are pretty fed-up now with the whole business and pretty convinced they are trying to get my house. (they built a shell for about 23K) I have a house assessed at $137,000.

So the bank speeds everything up as much as possible. They go to close and the "Lawyers" tell them the pay off is incorrect.
Now the banks mad. The Title Co. Get involved now. They call for the pay off and want to make sure the amt. Is correct. They get a figure. The get everything ready to close. Gues what? The insurance company, owned by Jim Walters, didn't do the increase.

The Title Co. Wants to know why. They said, well we couldn't do it because it went into foreclosure.
Now the bank is mad again, and again convinced that this is all a method that they have of stealing people's homes. So, the bank says "We can write a policy right here and now", I said "Do it".
I had to have $1000.00 up front. I had it. I got closed before they know what happened.

This is the way they do business. It is a pattern and a company policy. I have reason to believe there are people out there that were not as lucky as me, but I am willing to fight in a court of law for you if you're interested.
