In the summer of 2002 we called a TV phone number for a free trial of some "wonder" diet pill. We were told of some wonderful "free" things we would be getting with this product.
On July 15, we were charged $109.95 for a membership to Simple Escapes. We called the phone # given and spoke to Peter (#16431) who informed us that a company Multiple Products, Inc. Received an order from us last year and one of the "free" things was a membership to this company, which I have no idea what they sell or represent.
Peter said that many people have called and complained, but it is Simple Escapes responsibility to contact this company and tell them to stop using them.
Be aware, if you receive something "free", especially a membership, make sure you cancel it or JUST SAY NO!!!
