The Best Merchant Service! - merchant accounts

We have been a merchant with 1s American Card Service for about 3 years with on of our businesses and about 2 months with our other business. We have could fill 10 pages with "war stories" that we had before we found 1st American Card Service. With one of our businesses we had gone through 5 merchant service companies over 7 years. The story always was the same, prices would increase every few months. We also would find many hidden fees just appear. Getting anyone on the phone was would take days of messages.

We found 1st American Card Service as a referral from one of our suppliers. They had used them for over 15 years, so I thought this would be a good company to look into. We called them and asked if they could do a rate comparison. We faxed over a current statement and they were very fast in getting a comparison back. Our rep there is Lisa and she had more knowledge then anyone I had ever talked to about this. She was able to point out many other fees that were being charged that I did not even see before. I was shocked. We could save over 37% with them!

We choose to give them a chance and signed up. This really was a no brainer for us since 1st American only has Month to Month contracts, so we could leave at any time with no exit fees. I can say that we have not looked back for 3 years. They delivered on every promise. The rates have actually gone down with some transactions! Customer service is perfect, I do not have to every call into a call center, I just call Lisa and she is always there to help.

Now I had wanted to send them my other company, however this turned out to be another learning lesson. It turns out we were sold a 5 year contract by a company that lied to us. We found this out when we wanted to cancel and they told us we had no choice but to stay or they will charge us over $4000. My other business is not a very busy business and I could not afford to cancel. About 3 months ago the contract was finally over and I moved this business over to 1st American Card Service.

My advice to anyone is to really ask all the questions you can before you sign up with anyone. We have learned our lesson. We found 1st American and are very, very happy.
