An unsolicited letter arrives supposedly from Maria Callas advising you that she has an amazing insight into your future good luck cycles as she is a psychic, clairvoyant, medium, numerologist etc etc. If you send her $40 now she will send you a talisman and your 7 lucky numbers, but you have to act quicklly as your lucky cycle is only one month away, and she has only seen this sort of good luck cycle 2 or 3 times, so you must act now!
This is a total scam and is almost believable. My letter was post marked Singapore, but the money has to be sent to an address in France. She (They?) even have the cheek to ask for your credit card details!
Be warned, this is a con and in these financiallly difficult times, it is easy to be deceived by professional scam artists such as these.
Throw the lot in the bin. You will receive 5 pages plus a free return envelope to put your money into! It all looks and sounds quite plausible until you google Maria Callas to do a check. I'm certainly glad I did! I hope this warning helps other unsuspecting people who get these sorts of letters in the post.
